Trestleboard

On Saturday 19 January I went to the Lodge looking forward to doing a third degree because I failed to read my e-mail on time saying it was cancelled again! I look back and remember how long it took for me to get through the degrees for one reason or another. I have heard people say how things used to be years ago and cannot understand how such a great organization like ours is having a hard time getting new members and keeping them. I have heard some say I have done my share it is somebody else's turn to do theirs. If we expect this great fraternal organization survive and to grow we need to make a commitment to those that we have in waiting and work with them and get them through the degrees. We need to show them that they are important to our great organization because they are the our future. So am asking all the old timers and those not so old timers that are able, to please stand up and shows those that are in waiting that they are important by volunteering to fill the needed positions and perform the needed duties to put on a degree ceremony. If we can do this we will have Master Mason to take our places in the lodge and carry on our works of charity. So please support our Lodge and the Worshipful Master getting those in waiting through the degrees.
